Shannon May

Swim Instructor

Shannon May has had decades of experience working at the Westboro Tennis and Swim Club. She is passionate about all children learning to swim and is an advocate of child development. Shannon was hired at the Westboro Tennis and Swim Club in 2000. She has had years of experience as a WSI (Water Safety Instructor), leading and instructing swim lessons for children of all ages. Shannon has worked over 20 years at the club in various camps, instructing gym and swim programs, directing CIT sessions, and assisting with club birthday parties under the direction of Betsy Johnsen. Shannon earned her EEC license in the State of Massachusetts in 2014, and is currently an instructor of the Sensorial curriculum at the New England Montessori Training Center (NEMTEC). On Saturdays, you will find Shannon at the club, in the pool teaching “Parent and Tot” classes and other various swim classes under the direction of Alison Smith. Monday thru Friday you will find Shannon as the musical director at Whitinsville Christian School; she teaches grades Pre-K through 5th. As a teacher, Shannon is diligent in keeping up with her teacher training requirements as well as her First Aid and CPR certifications through The American Red Cross.
