At the end of this month Megan, our Fitness Director, and 3 trainers will be traveling to Arizona for a 5-day training at the Stretch to Win Institute. The team has been preparing for the training by working on pre-work such as instructional videos, quizzes, and reading the Fascial Stretch Therapy textbook. During the in-person portion of their training, they will be taught how to best help each individual client with assisted stretch therapy. The method is designed to target your fascial tissue through traction stretching to relieve tight joints and muscles.
Objective measurements like range of motion, full body functional movements, strength, balance, speed, power, heart rate variability, blood pressure, and pain scores among other tests have all been shown to improve, often dramatically, after a Fascial Stretch Therapy session. Improvements in sleep, digestion, mood, mental alertness and function, attitude, and other factors have been attributed to FST by clients and patients.
We are very excited to introduce this form of stretching program to you at our new R3 Wellness Center. Assisted Stretch Therapy will be offered starting in March. Be on the lookout for our Open House at the end of March!
